A Prophetic Word: Stepping Stones

by Wadzi Mufunde
stepping stones

As I began writing this post, I felt God tell me to tell you he is saying, I am here. I am with you. You are not alone for I will guide you. Just take the first step and seek me out.

As it says in Joshua 1:5, “No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So, whatever you’re going through, know that God can get you through it.

A Vision

In March 2020, I had a vision while meditating. I was in a hallway and I saw a door before me. I asked God if I could enter, and he gave me permission. As I began to enter, I saw that the room was pitch black and there was no floor. I was about to plummet to my doom, but I caught myself just in time. Despite the obvious danger, God asked me to walk inside. He told me everything would be fine. So, I obeyed and I walked inside.

Stepping stones appeared and I walked to the other side. I felt God telling me that sometimes He will ask us to have faith that through Him we can achieve what seems impossible.

A Calling

Although at the time it was a personal word of wisdom, God is now urging me to share it. Some of you feel called to do something for Christ. It could be starting a course or changing career. It could be starting a ministry or something smaller like volunteering for joining your church choir. Whatever your calling, so long as it aligns with the Bible, God is asking you to take that leap of faith and trust in Him.

Revelation 3:8 (NIV) says, “I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.” God has a divine plan for you, and He is providing you with opportunities to reach your full potential. You will not be able to achieve this with your own strength alone. As it is said in Exodus 15:2 (NIV), “The Lord is my strength and my defense”, we are called to lean on God’s strength. Let Him guide you in all things.

A Prayer

For some of you, however, you don’t know what your calling is. In that case I advise you seek to hear God’s voice and ask Him yourself.

Below is a prayer I felt compelled to write for you.

Dear God,

I thank you that you are a good God. Thank you for your divine plan. I pray that you reveal my calling and my purpose in your ministry, according to your perfect timing. Prepare me, Lord. Mould and shape me into a vessel capable of carrying out Your good works.

Amen.
